…and this ones for Peter Alexander Shields…I presented your lovely portrait of Paul Robeson to the choir and your note about the choice of Ol’ Man River for your dads funeral and told the crowd how much a fan your dad was of the great man…the connection being that Paul Robeson was patron of this choir and actually sang with the original founders of the choir which included the lovely Jane Kescott’s parents (on the left of this pic ) who also met the great man as a little girl with her parents…the other lovely lady on the right of the pic is Annie Banham who is from Middlesborough (so added to the North East connection) and accepted the presentation on behalf of the choir. It was a lovely night…THANK YOU ALL FOR ASKING ME TO TAKE PART 🙂 FLY HIGH CLARION SINGERS XX
