Tune In…Turn On

2 tracks from the forthcoming album FLY featured on The Roy Wetton Show on Millside Radio between 8-10pm tomorrow night (Tuesday 7th July) tune in http://www.millsideradio.co.uk/new/ broadcasting to the World across The Net.

I’d just like to thank the following DJs across this country and Europe who have given me some tremendous support so far this year in promoing my forthcoming album by playing the two promo tracks Build It Like A Rock http://garyodea-gojomusic.bandcamp.com/…/build-it-like-a-ro… and Take The Money & Run My Dear http://garyodea-gojomusic.bandcamp.com/…/take-the-money-and… over the past few months. The album is nearing completion now and I’ll be getting promo copies out in August. I’m a one man show in a lot of aspects of what I do and its full time 24/7 ‘on the case’ and I really appreciate those that have taken the time to give my songs some airtime on their shows and offer some very positive comments and support. They do a great job with fantastic enthusiasm and commitment and knowledge and are a breath of fresh air in an ever increasing ‘medium of tedium’ so thank you very much to…

Where have the years gone…?

Met up with my old mucka Mark Mad Hat Stuart on Saturday before my solo acoustic spot at the RGG Festival in Wolverhampton. Mark worked with my old band The Love Hounds 25 years ago and produced a few tracks for us and did our live sound during the last two years of the band 1989/90. It was great to see him. He now produces local blues sensation Rebecca Downes and still runs Mad Hat Studios in Coven nr Wolverhampton. Here’s a link to an album that came out some 10 years after The Love Hounds split and features some of the songs we recorded with Mark. The album is called Love Hounds & Fortune Cookies and is available to listen for free and buy / download here http://garyodea-gojomusic.bandcamp.com/album/love-hounds-n-fortune-cookies

Roots and Branches

Thanks to Steve Morris and his Roots And Branches radio show for the lovely feature a couple of weeks back…didn’t even know he was playing it! You can listen again here https://www.mixcloud.com/…/roots-and-branches-no-18-radio-…/ to 2 hours of great music…and then subscribe to hear his show every week. I’ve spent the last few hours catching up on some shows I’ve missed. Steve has been a great supporter of the local music scene for over 30 years – starting out as a writer for the old Brum Beat Music Paper and then becoming the Editor of the magazine it transformed into The Beat…and has been for many years now the man spinning the tunes on the excellent Root and Branches radio show which started out orginally on WCR and is now broadcast via Radio 879 http://www.radio879.co.uk/ – the shows can also be accessed via Steve’s MIxcloud pagehttps://www.mixcloud.com/rootsandbranches/ – for more info please visit Steve’s Roots and Branches web site http://www.roots-and-branches.com/
